OPEN AUDITIONS

Sleeping Beauty is a classic fairy tale that tells the story of a beautiful princess who falls under a curse from an evil fairy. According to the curse, the princess would prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel on her 18th birthday and would die. A good fairy, however, intervenes and alters the curse, stating that the princess will instead sleep for 100 years and can only be awakened by true love’s kiss. On the princess’s 18th birthday, the curse takes effect and she falls asleep. We follow the story as the prince and his journey to overcome the obstacles and awaken the princess. In the end, will true love’s kiss awaken the princess, and will the kingdom be saved.

HOW TO AUDITION

– Simply arrive at the open audition and sign in

– The audition will take approximately thirty minutes

– All material is provided and taught on the day

– Singing, acting and dancing will be taught in groups

– The audition is a fun and relaxed enviroment

– All auditionees are notified by post within two weeks

Participation Fee

To ensure the best possible experience we charge a contribution for participation. Our current participation contribution is £192 per participant (Which can be split into three payments of £50, £72 & £72), which covers the entire period of the project, including creative teams, professional tuition, insurances and licenses, sets, props and costumes. Then, to cover theatre and technical costs we offer tickets for sale to local audiences.
